  1. Ward Melville High School and Three Village Industry Advisory Board will host the 4th Annual Career Exploration Fair. The event will be held at the WMHS gymnasium on March 30 at 6:30 p.m. Over 60 local businesses and industries will be available to show participants different career options and how to apply for jobs.   2. Zuccaire Gallery will host an artist talk reception on Wednesday, March 30 from 5-7 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Stony Brook's Master of Fine Arts students Dilge Dilsiz, Daniel Donato, and Heather Weston will be the hosts. (ZuccaireGallery)
  3. Emma Clark Memorial Library will host a West Meadow Beach Nature Walk. On March 30, at 10 a.m. the Town of Brookhaven Environmental Educator Nicole Pocchiare will guide the group as they learn about the local flora and fauna. The group will meet at the pavilion. Click here for details. (ECML)
  4. A NYPD officer from Long Island wrote a book inspired by her daughter who has Down syndrome. Jessica Ardolino, who lives in East Setauket, said that the idea come after watching her older daughter trying to teach sign language to her sister who has Down syndrome. "Outstanding Olivia Says I Love You" is selling for $10 on Amazon. (News 12 Bronx)
  5. Stony Brook University will host a teach-in about the war in Ukraine on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The event is hosted by the Marie Colvin Center for International Reporting. Stony Brook journalism instructor and Sunday Times of London reporter Sarah Baxter will be moderators and the event will be held in Frey Hall, Room 100, Stony Brook University West Campus. (Patch)
