Three Village Students Raised More Than $15K For American Heart Association

The building's top four fundraisers —​ Derek Adams, Nayel Khair, Savannah Saunders, and Thomas Shanley —​ raised more than $1,000 each.

THREE VILLAGE, NY — Nassakeag Elementary School students raised more than $15,000 for the American Heart Association recently.

The students participated in the Kids Heart Challenge through their physical education classes, and learned about the importance of heart-healthy habits including proper nutrition,
hydration, and sleep.

In addition to in-class activities, the students also took part in the challenge through fundraising for the American Heart Association online with more than 125 students raised a total of $15,331.
