Tony Bennett Exhibit To Open On Long Island
It will feature over 100 items, like several awards and Grammy nominations, and letters from presidents, Louis Armstrong, and Fred Astaire.
LONG ISLAND, NY — An exhibit of hundreds of items of Tony Bennett memorabilia and archival materials is coming to The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook next month.
The exhibit will feature over 100 items, including several awards and Grammy nominations, letters from presidents, Louis Armstrong, and Fred Astaire, as well as the Gold Record from his signature hit, "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."
Jazz Loft founder Tom Manuel called Bennett "unquestionably an icon in American popular music."

“His career singing the Great American Songbook arguably lasted longer than any entertainer in history," he said. "To have a collection of his archives at The Jazz Loft is a tremendous honor, and we are thrilled to preserve his legacy and present it to a new generation.”
The exhibit will offer visitors a photo opportunity to hold a Grammy Award or a Gold Record, and take a bow.

The opening reception will be held on March 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. through invitation only.
The museum is open Thursday to Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The admission fee is $10.
