The race for the Suffolk County Legislature's fifth legislative district has been in full swing for months, with Democratic candidate Kara Hahn and Republican candidate Anthony Moncayo campaigning door-to-door and addressing supporters at their events. On Monday, the two candidates appeared before the Civic Association of the Setaukets and Stony Brook to introduce themselves and talk about the issues they would focus on if elected.
