Here are the top four stories in Three Village today:

  1. Smithtown Sweetbriar Center staff will be at the Studio of the Gallery North in Setauket to lead the Raptor Sketch Night. The class is set for Friday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. Information about each animal will be given by experts. Those who are interested in participating can find more information here. (Gallery North)
  2. The Stony Brook 43rd Annual Holiday Tree Competition goes through Dec. 20. Forty-five balsam trees have been decorated by members of the Ward Melville Heritage Organization. The winner gets a $150 gift card. You can get a card at any shop or eatery in the village to vote on your favorite one. (Village of Stony Brook)
  3. The Emma Clark Memorial Library closes at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, due to the Three Village Electric Parade. (ESCML)
  4. A hate crime-related arrest has been made at Eastern Suffolk BOCES Sequoya High school. A 14-year-old was charged after threatening to kill members of the LGBTO community last week, according to the police. The case was brought to Suffolk County Family Court. Due to her age, her identity can not be released. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
