- Celebrate Black History Month with the African American Read In at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook on Saturday morning at noon.
- The Euterpe Poetry Group will meet Friday night at 7 p.m. at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library, featuring a reading by Maria Basile from her new book.

- Sign the kids up for the Ward Melville Cheerleading Clinic fundraiser on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Gelinas Junior High. The varsity cheerleaders are raising money for a trip to nationals.
