STONY BROOK, NY — The classic rock band Zebra's Randy Jackson will take to the stage of the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame in a special concert to kick off the new year on Sunday.

Zebra is best known for songs like "The La La Song," "Bears," "Tell me what you want," and "One more chance," according to classicrockhistory.com. Though the band hails from New Orleans, LA, they got their start playing the club scene on Long Island, opening for acts with big followings like Twisted Sister, Newsday reported.

Jackson, 67, told the outlet that the band "needed to go somewhere else to get noticed."
