80-Year-Old Man Falls From UES Building, Police Say

The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An 80-year-old man is dead after falling from an Upper East Side apartment building on Tuesday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the man was found unconscious and unresponsive in front of 304 East 90th St., between First Avenue and Second Avenue, at 7:54 a.m. from an apparent fall.

The man was rushed to NewYork–Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Police told Patch that no criminality is suspected. Officials have not released the name of the man until family can be notified, they said.
