The nine-member collective has been a Latin music favorite in the city for years, mixing up boogaloo, bolero, and cha cha cha while performing at top venues like Lincoln Center and Summer Stage — where they'll be performing on Aug. 2 as well.

Lead by vocalist Andrea Chavarro, the group formed as a combination of her love for salsa and her impulse to try to make an all-female ensemble group, she told NBC 4 in December, and wanted to pay tribute to the iconic salsa culture in Cali, Colombia.
