Ambulance Bursts Into Flames On Upper East Side, FDNY Says
The fire engulfed the front of an ambulance on Madison Avenue near East 66th Street. No injuries were reported.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Firefighters battled a huge car fire after an ambulance burst into flames Monday afternoon on the Upper East Side, an FDNY spokeswoman said.
The fire broke out in the front of an ambulance parked on Madison Avenue between East 66th and 67th streets around 4:20 p.m., an FDNY spokeswoman said. Police shut down the block and firefighters rushed to the scene to douse the fire.
Video of the fire taken by witnesses showed what appeared to be two small explosions as the ambulance burned.

No injuries were reported during the fire, an FDNY spokeswoman said.
