Annual Student Art Exhibit Returns To The Met
The annual exhibit will feature artworks created by more than 120 public school students from the five boroughs.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Artworks created by public school students from New York City's five boroughs are set to go on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual P.S. Art exhibit, a museum spokeswoman said.
This year's P.S. Art exhibit debuts June 12 and features the works of 123 public school students from grades pre-k through 12, according to a museum press release. The exhibit will be on display at The Met's main building on Fifth Avenue and East 82nd Street.
"P.S. Art highlights the talent and creativity of young artists and champions art making as a way to appreciate the cultures, life experiences, and traditions across the city," a museum press release reads.

This year's artworks were selected from more than 1,200 submissions, according to a press release. The works were chosen by a jury comprised of members of New York City's art community including staff members of The Met. All of the student artists will be given free admission passes to the museum.
The exhibit will be on display at The Met's Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education, according to a press release. In addition to being featured at the museum, 27 of the artworks will be displayed on a digital billboard in Times Square starting June 20.

The P.S. Art exhibit will run until October 21, a museum spokeswoman said.
