British Luxury Fashion Store To Open UES Location, Report Says

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A luxury fashion brand from Britain is planning to open its first New York City location on the Upper East Side, according to reports.

Ralph & Russo has negotiated a lease for a new store at 680 Madison Ave., located between East 61st and 62nd streets, Women's Wear Daily first reported. The block is currently home to high-end stores such as Tom Ford, Berluti and Brunello Cucinelli.

The new Ralph & Russo will occupy 5,800 square feet of retail space in its building for 15 years, WWD reported. The store will be located on portions of the building's ground and second floors, according to the report.

The British company is leasing the space from Thor Equities, according to reports.

"We are pleased to welcome Ralph & Russo to New York," Joe Sitt, CEO of Thor Equities, told WWD in a statement. "This favored brand of royalty, Hollywood stars and A-listers is the ideal fit for 680 Madison Avenue, a premier retail building located on one of the city’s most upscale shopping corridors."
