UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his wife, Rama Duwaji, are officially Upper East Siders.

On Tuesday morning, the pair woke up for the first time in their new home, Gracie Mansion, which is located at East End Avenue and 88th Street in Yorkville.

It's New York City's version of the White House, a historic yellow mansion where many of New York City's mayors have lived during their time in office.

"Rama and I feel lucky to be starting a new chapter the way so many New Yorkers have, by moving to a new part of the city," Mamdani said following the move from his one-bedroom apartment in Astoria.

"We’re grateful for the welcome to the UES and humbled to be tenants of Gracie Mansion, a home that belongs to the people."

Despite the swanky new ZIP code, Mamdani assured his base he'd stay close to his roots.

"Above all, while I may be changing where I rest my head at the end of every evening, I will not be changing anything about how I interact with the incredible New Yorkers who call this city home," he said during a press briefing.

"I will remain in the streets surrounded by the people I have the great privilege of serving. I will continue to take the subway, ride the bus, get on a Citi Bike, and I will never close my ears to the concerns and the opinions of New Yorkers."

When asked what Mamdani would add to the space to make it home, he said he is hoping to install a few bidets and get a cat.
