Police Arrest 2 Men In Upper East Side Robbery, NYPD Says
The passengers took the rideshare driver's phone and wallet before fleeing the neighborhood in a black sedan, police said.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police have arrested two men accused of robbing a rideshare driver on the Upper East Side, New York City Police Department officials said Tuesday.
The robbery happened back on Oct. 12, 2025, at 4 a.m., when a 37-year-old man was driving two passengers near 419 East 93rd St., near First Avenue, when they "simulated" a gun and demanded property, the NYPD said.
Police said the passengers then took the victim's phone and wallet before exiting the car and fleeing in a black sedan, heading downtown on FDR Drive.

Two men, 29-year-old Hassan Wright and 25-year-old Justin Muniz, were both arrested on Tuesday in Midtown and charged with two counts of grand larceny each, NYPD authorities said.
Police said the investigation is still underway.
