Burglar Breaks Into Upper East Side Apartment To Steal iPads: Police

The burglary is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made yet.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police were looking Friday for a burglar who broke into an Upper East Side apartment building and stole two iPads, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the break-in happened back on Feb. 26 at 2:17 p.m., when a man broke into an apartment building near East 66th Street and First Avenue.

Once inside, the man took two iPads from the building and then ran away in an unknown direction, police said.

The burglary is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made yet, but police have released surveillance photos of the suspect. Police described the suspect as a man with a heavy build last seen wearing all black and carrying a black shoulder bag and two shopping bags.
