Citi Bike Teens Assault Two Central Park Women: Police
A trio of teens pushed two people to the ground near East 71st and 75th streets early Wednesday morning, according to officials.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Two jogging women were pushed over by a trio of teens riding bikes on East Drive in Central Park early Wednesday morning, police said.
Both women were separately pushed to the ground just minutes apart at around 9 a.m. near East 71st and 75th streets, according to officials, both by a reported group of three teens on Citi Bikes.
At about 8:50, a 32-year-old jogger was pushed to the ground on East Drive near East 75th Street and suffered scrapes to her hands, knees and elbows, as well as bruising to her left bicep, according to police. She refused medical attention at the scene, officials said.

Just 10 minutes later on East Drive at East 71st Street, a 47-year-old woman was hit in the head from behind by the trio riding north and fell to the ground, police said.
The victim walked to the Central Park Precinct house to report the assault and was treated by first responders at the precinct, police said.

West Side Rag, which first reported the assaults, claimed a total of three victims, but police only confirmed the two accounts.
The women told police that the kids appeared to be around 16-years-old.
Just earlier this week, police arrested a man accused of slamming a woman's head into a tree near the reservoir.
