UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The Upper East Side is getting another purveyor of fine treats, but — plot twist — this place isn't French.

Danish bakery leviathan Ole & Steen announced Thursday in an Instagram story that the newest outpost of Scandinavian pastry delights will be in Yorkville, at 1280 Lexington Ave, on the corner of East 87th Street.

This will be the bakery's fifth location since their first spot stateside opened in 2019 and is well-known for their hearty rye breads, delicious pastries — including Danish classics like tebirkes, spandauer and kanelsnegle (pictured above), plus their signature cinnamon social — and big smørrebrød sandwiches.
