UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A Pilates studio that has locations in SoHo and Southern California has secured space for an Upper East Side expansion, real estate agents who helped broker the deal said.

WundaBar Pilates will enter a long-term lease for a 1,000 square foot space at at Copperwood Real Estate’s building 245 E. 78th St. between Second and Third avenues, Meridian Capital Groupannounced. Meridian agents James Famularo and Kevin Bisconti represented WundaBar in the lease negotiation, according to a press release.

"WundaBar currently has seven locations in California, and we are pleased to help them expand their presence throughout New York, having also arranged the lease for their SoHo location," Famularo said in a statement.

WundaBar Pilates was founded by former entertainment marketing executive Amy Jordan in 2011. The studio describes its workout method as one the "bridges the gap" between the two common choices in Pilates: "slow-and-cerebral, or pound-it-out with no methodology."

Real estate brokers did not say when the Upper East Side WundaBar is expected to open.
