Driver Flees After Injuring Pedestrian In UES Hit-And-Run: Police

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A dangerous driver is still at large after smashing into a pedestrian on an Upper East Side street in the middle of the day over the weekend, police said.

At about noon on Saturday, a 27-year-old man was crossing First Avenue near East 91st Street when the driver of a black Honda smashed into him, officials told Patch.

The driver then fled the scene, according to police.

Medics rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital in stable condition with minor injuries to his left arm and leg, police said.

The vehicle, which officials said detectives have yet to disclose any details, including the model or type, was only described as a black Honda.
