Driver Killed, Passenger Injured In Fiery FDR Drive Crash
Both the driver and the passenger were thrown from the vehicle, authorities said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A fiery car crash killed a driver and injured a passenger on the FDR Drive near 70th Street early Tuesday, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the crash happened at 2:44 a.m. when the woman driving hit a guardrail, causing the Tesla to flip over and burst into flames, police said.
Both the driver and the passenger were thrown from the vehicle, authorities said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 26-year-old passenger was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, police said.
Authorities have not yet identified the driver, and no arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.
