UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Two dueling traffic accidents on the southbound FDR Drive early Thursday morning left commuters with a traffic nightmare — and Upper East Siders with a headache.

The early morning buzz of Bell 407 helicopters hovering around 1,200 feet for over an hour — at least three whirlybirds in total before 7 a.m.— was enough to send some residents mad

"What in the f--- is going on with helicopters circling over the upper east side since 6a???" asked one social media user. "It sounds like we live in a f---ing war zone!!"

Neither the NYPD nor FDNY were able to provide any additional information about the accidents, including if there were any injuries.

Helicopters taking "non-essential"trips over tourist sights adjacent to the Upper East Side — like Central Park — is not unusual, and is making the neighborhood "unlivable," according to one resident on Twitter.

"We are under constant assault here from tourist and commuter helicopters flying at times und 1000 ft low," the user Ulli Stachl wrote on Twitter last month. "None of the authorities seem to care."
