Biker Attacks Off-Duty Cop Walking Dog In Yorkville: NYPD

The off-duty cop suffered a broken ankle after the brutal attack Tuesday evening, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — An off-duty cop walking his dog in Yorkville was brutally beaten Tuesday by the reckless biker he told to slow down, according to officials.

The off-duty officer, 52, broke his ankle in the struggle with the violent biker near East 90th Street and First Avenue on Tuesday about 7 p.m., police officials said.

The enraged motorcyclist repeatedly punched the cop to the ground then fled east on East 90th Street, according to officials.

The officer, who also suffered cuts to his face, was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, according to police officials.

Police are now looking for a green motorcycle rider between 35 and 45 years old, standing about 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

Officials also released surveillance photos of the person they believe is connected to the incident.
