Fan Sues Cardi B For Upper East Side Security Beatdown: Report
The autograph-seeking fan claims Cardi B and fiancee Offset ordered security guards to beat him up.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A fan who was beat up by the security detail of rappers Cardi B and Offset outside an Upper East Hotel is suing the entertainers, according to reports.
Bronx resident Giovanni Arnold, 31, claims that the rappers ordered their security guards to beat him up after approaching Cardi B for an autograph outside the Mark Hotel on East 77th Street and Madison Avenue, according to a lawsuit acquired by the Daily News.
"At Cardi B. and Offset's command, (they) savagely beat plaintiff, punching him and then stomping on his face while he was on the ground," according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday, as reported by the Daily News.

The assault occurred around 2 a.m. on May 8 as Cardi B and Offset entered the Upper East Side hotel after attending the annual Met Gala. Arnold initially approached Cardi B to ask for an autograph, an NYPD spokesman said.
Security pounced on the fan when he continued to approach Cardi B after being denied an autograph, police said. Security guards punched and kicked the man while he was on the ground, an NYPD spokesman said. The guards are currently being investigated for assault, an NYPD spokesman said.

The fan was taken to an area hospital after suffering injuries to his head and back, police said.
The lawsuit also lists the Mark Hotel as a defendant and claims that hotel security did not take any steps to intervene in the beatdown, the Daily News reported.
