Fire Breaks Out At Upper East Side Restaurant
The fire broke out at the "Island" restaurant on Madison Avenue.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A fire broke out at an Upper East Side restaurant Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The call for the fire at 1305 Madison Avenue came in at 3:04 p.m., according to the FDNY. The fire was on the first floor of a five-story building at the "Island" restaurant.
An FDNY spokesperson said the fire was brought under control just after 3:45 p.m. More than 60 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene.
