Swedish fish swim uptown, it seems.

UPPER EAST SIDE — Salmon may swim upstream, but the infinitely superior Swedish fish swims uptown.

Specifically, the sweet Scandinavian treat appears to be headed to a new candy shop on Lexington Avenue and East 82nd Street devoted to Swedish fish.

A BonBon NYC sign appeared this month at 1220 Lexington Ave., and while it was not open to its Swedish fish-adoring public, it has claimed a page on Yelp.

BonBon NYC originates, not in Sweden, but on the Lower East Side where three friends founded their candy company in 2018.

Success at 130 Allen St. — and with a booming online retail space featured on "The Today Show" — allowed friends Bobby, Leo and Selim to launch a second spot in Williamsburg.

The self-described "real-life Oompa Loompas" import candy from Sweden offer their own brand of fish with Willy Wonkish flavors such as wild strawberry, elderflower, and sour peach.

BonBon NYC also sells speciality Swedish treats such as Marabou Schweizernöt (a hazelnut crunch chocolate bar), OLW dill and gräslök (that means chives, but you really need to brush up on your Swedish) chips, and Jenka bubblegum.

Don't forget the Leksands Knäckebröd.

Patch reached out to BonBon NYC for more information about opening day and received a promise that updates would be coming soon.

Until then, here is a picture of a Swedish fish:
