'I Will Kill You': UES Lawmaker Receives Graphic Death Threat
Council Member Julie Menin tweeted Friday she received a pages-long letter so disturbing that she send it to the NYPD for investigation.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A graphic, pages-long death threat sent to Council Member Julie Menin has been passed to the NYPD for investigation, the prominent Upper East Side pol said.
"F--- you Julie Menin," the letter stated, according to a Friday tweet by Menin. "I will kill you!"

Menin, who is a member of the Council's Jewish caucus, tweeted that the letter was received Oct. 5 — before Hamas' brutal attack on Israel that sparked an ever-escalating wave of violence that has set New Yorkers on edge.

"No one should receive such a disturbing letter that was pages long w/ horrific graphic sexual violence too shocking to post," she wrote.
"Being a public official is not a license to harass and threaten us and I won’t stand for it."
