'I'll Take Your Head Off,' Man Tells UES Subway Passengers: Police
A man armed with a switchblade threatened Upper East Side straphangers after getting angry about his cramped subway car, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man armed with a switchblade aboard an Upper East Side subway car threatened to decapitate a fellow passenger after getting angry about the crowded train, according to police.
The unidentified suspect boarded a southbound 6 train at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the 77th Street-Lexington Avenue station, police said.
As the packed train left the station, he "became irate and aggressive" and began brandishing a switchblade knife, pointing it at a 35-year-old man standing near him as well as other riders, police said.
