Knifeman Wearing Camouflage Terrorizes UES, Police Say

Police have increased patrols after receiving "multiple" reports of a man threatening people with a knife.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY – A man wearing camouflage and threatening people with a knife has been terrorizing the Upper East Side, police said Monday.

The NYPD said it's increased patrols in the neighborhood after "multiple" reports of threats.

One incident was reported at East 87th Street and Third Avenue in which the man pulled a knife on a couple pushing a stroller, according to social media. In another, he hit somebody and in a third he pushed his victim, police said. All incidents happened between Park and Third avenues and from East 82nd to 87th streets, police said.

The man is described as wearing a camouflage jacket and jeans.
