Lexington Avenue Q/F Train Elevator Out Of Service Until April 1
A slightly vague sign states that riders looking to travel from the street to the station should walk to the Third Avenue elevator.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Hopefully it won't be an April Fools joke, but an out-of-service MTA elevator at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Street station undergoing upgrades is expected to come back online April 1.
According to a slightly vague sign, the work on the Lexington Avenue and East 63rd Street elevator began "on or about" Thursday and is expected to be out of service until the annual day of goofs, laughs and tricks.
Those upgrades are to the elevator's security and communications systems, according to the MTA.

The MTA says to use the street-level elevator on Third Avenue and East 63rd Street in the meantime, but according to their website, that elevator was out of service, too, until 4 p.m. Friday.
