Man Attacks Upper East Side Teen Walking With Mom, Sib: NYPD
A man pushed a 16-year-old multiple and tried to steal his cell phone, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A teen walking with his mother and a sibling was pushed to the ground by a stranger in Yorkville who then tried to nab the fallen teen's cell phone, police said.
The scuffle happened on Friday evening around 9 p.m. when the man came up to the 38-year-old mother walking with her two kids, near East 82nd Street and Lexington Avenue, and started shoving her 16-year-old son multiple times, officials said, eventually knocking the teen to the ground.
Police said the man then tried to steal the teen's cell phone, but couldn't seem to get it from the young boy.

Officials did not give a detailed description of the stranger nor could they confirm earlier reports describing the man as barefoot and wearing a ski mask. Witnesses told Upper East Side that the man also punched the teen and blood from the altercation remained on the sidewalk afterwards.
