Man Beats Up 52-Year-Old Woman On Upper East Side Street, Police Say
The suspect is still on the loose.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are looking for a man who punched and kicked a woman before snatching her purse on Upper East Side sidewalk, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, the 52-year-old woman was walking near East 92nd Street and Third Avenue on Aug. 18 at 11:52 p.m. when the perpetrator approached her from behind, grabbed her by the neck and pulled her to the ground.
Once the victim was on the ground, the perpetrator kicked and punched her multiple times, and then took the victim's purse, police said.

Then, the perpetrator threw the purse and ran away, heading west on East 92nd Street, police said.
Medics at the scene treated the woman for minor injuries, police said.

Police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made yet. Police are searching for one suspect, who was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a gray t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.
