Man In Crocs Sought By Police For Assault In The Upper East Side: PD

A woman walking down Park Avenue was randomly hit on the forehead by a man she didn't know, the NYPD said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A 27-year-old woman was randomly hit in the head by a stranger outside an apartment complex on the morning of July 14, according to police.

The victim was walking in front of 940 Park Ave., near East 81st Street, when an unknown assailant, pictured above, without any prior provocation struck the woman in the head with an object, reported the NYPD.

The suspect, described as a man with dark complexion, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, of a large build with a dark afro and a full beard, fled northbound on Park Avenue, but was later picked up on a surveillance camera at 6:12 a.m. in front of a different apartment building on 1050 FifthAve. He was last seen wearing Crocs shoes, orange shorts, a dark colored t-shirt and white socks, said the report.

The woman sustained a laceration to the forehead and was sent to NY Presbyterian Hospital for treatment and was later released, police said.
