Man Jumps In Front Of Upper East Side Train: NYPD
The man jumped in front of a 4 train at 86th Street but is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man jumped in front of a train at an Upper East Side subway station on Friday morning, police said.
The 58-year-old jumped in front of a southbound 4 train at the 86th Street-Lexington Avenue about 9:45 a.m., police said.
First responders took the man, who was awake and responsive, to Lenox Hill hospital, officials said. He is expected to survive.

The incident has caused delays to train service, the MTA told riders via Twitter.

The MTA reported at 10:10 a.m. that 5 trains were operating on the 2 line between 149 Street-Grand Concourse and Nevins Street in both directions.

In December, a 69-year-old man also jumped in front of a downtown 4 train at the 86th Street-Lexington Avenue stop. The man died later that day from his injuries.
