UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A Brooklyn man riding an electric motorcycle was killed on the FDR Drive Sunday night, police said.

At about 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, Nathanial Knight, 40, was riding his electric motorcycle on the northbound lane of the FDR Drive just a few blocks shy of the East 61st Street exit when a 19-year-old male driver of a 2008 Honda Civic hit Knight from behind, according to police.

As the driver slammed on his breaks, a 2006 Honda Civic, also driven by a 19-year-old man, slammed into the car from behind, forcing the 2008 Civic forward to further pin Knight underneath the vehicle, a police official told Patch.
