Man Mugged While Buying Tickets On Upper East Side, Police Say
The man was put in a choke hold and robbed after agreeing to meet a woman on East 92nd Street to buy event tickets.
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a man and a woman wanted in connection with a mugging on an Upper East Side Street, police said.
A 21-year-old man was robbed on the corner of East 92nd Street and First Avenue on Monday, May 7 after meeting a woman at that location to buy tickets to an event, police said. While the woman and man were talking, another unknown man approached from behind and put the victim in a choke hold, police said.
The attacker dragged the man down to the ground, grabbed his cellphone and fled the location in a black SUV, police said. The woman who arranged the meeting fled the scene on foot, police said.

Police released photos of the man and woman (seen above) taken by street-facing security cameras. The woman is described as having dark hair and was last seen wearing a green long sleeved shirt and light blue jeans. The man was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, a yellow metal necklace, a blue and white shirt, black sweatpants and black and white sneakers, police said.
