Man Robbed At Knifepoint In Upper East Side Subway Station, Police Say
A group of six attacked the victim before taking his iPhone and bag, police told Patch.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man was robbed by a violent mob early Tuesday morning in an Upper East Side subway station, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, six perpetrators, including one man with a knife drawn, approached the 30-year-old victim at 3:15 a.m. inside the Fifth Avenue-59th Street subway station and demanded money.
The victim refused and then one of the perpetrators punched him in the face with a closed fist, police said.

Then, all six perpetrators forcibly took the victim's iPhone 11 and a bag of clothes and ran away on foot, police said.
The victim refused medical attention on scene, police said.

Police caught the six perpetrators and arrested them. Charges are pending, police said.
