Man Sexually Assaults Woman Inside UES Italian Restaurant: Police

A man brazenly assaulted a 21-year-old woman inside an upscale Upper East Side Italian restaurant this month, according to police.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A man sexually assaulted a woman inside an Italian restaurant in Lenox Hill, according to police, who asked for help finding the suspect.

The assault inside Piccola Cucina Uptown, on East 60th Street near Park Avenue, happened around 5 p.m. on Dec. 19, when the man approached the 21-year-old victim and told her she looked "beautiful," police first told Upper East Site.

He then touched the woman's shoulders, back and breasts without her consent, police said.

The woman asked the man to stop, to no avail, and eventually hid in the restaurant's bathroom to escape, according to Upper East Site.

The NYPD's 19th Precinct tweeted a photo of the man Tuesday morning and asked anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
