Man Sexually Touches Stranger Near UES Whole Foods, Dalton Gym: NYPD

Police said a man touched a young woman's behind earlier this month.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police are on the lookout for a man they say grabbed a young woman's behind just steps away from an Upper East Side Whole Foods and a gym belonging to the prestigious Dalton School.

On Jan. 6, a 25-year-old woman was walking on Third Avenue near East 87th Street when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks, police said.

The man then ran inside of a nearby Whole Foods supermarket towards the East 87th Street exit, fleeing to parts unknown, according to authorities.

Police described the man as about five foot eight inches tall, a medium build, approximately 25-years-old and wearing a black jacket, grey sweatpants and black sneakers.

Surveillance images of the suspected man were also released.
