New Restaurant In Lenox Hill Only Serves Dog Food
Well it's not really a restaurant, but it does only serve food for your pooch.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — You already know your dog probably lives a better daily life than you: playing with toys all day, napping on demand, running in the park, sniffing... smells — all in exchange for a slight loss of bodily autonomy while cooped up inside for most of the day.
But soon, Fido and Rover are going to be eating better than their owners, too.
Already a fixture in Petco stores around the city — and county —Just Food For Dogs is building out a new stand-alone kitchen and shop on Third Avenue near East 76th Street. A similar spot already exists on the west side at Lincoln Center.

Since 2010, the West Coast whole-food doggie brand has offered veterinarian-developed recipes ranging from daily meals, support diets, treats and supplements, and custom diets for pets with complex health needs.
The company operates 11 kitchens around the country and also sells pantry-based products in stores, claiming that their nutritionally-informed recipes improve health and longevity in all dogs, young and old.

Reps with the company didn't have much to say about the new location, but the signage seems to suggest that it could be a new open kitchen location, where shoppers can enter and observe the cooking of Rover's Venison & Squash bowl.
While the offerings resemble a grain bowl that one might spend $18 on, be reminded that all food inside these walls is only for dogs.
And it comes at a premium. The cheapest fresh frozen dog meal, the Turkey & Whole Wheat Macaroni Recipe, comes in at over $7 per pound. A fancy dry food costs just under $2 per pound.
But depending on the needs of your dog, it could all be worth it — even from a community standpoint.
In addition to a healthier, happier dog, the company specifically boasts that their whole-food meals equip pups with a "well-formed stool," a welcome change for many residents who fear the alternative.
