Old Navy To Open UES Store On 86th Street
The three-story, 23,000-square-foot store will open Saturday, Nov. 2.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Retail giant Old Navy will open its first location on the Upper East Side this weekend at a new development on East 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, the company announced this week.
The clothing store will occupy three floors and 23,000 total square feet at the base of The Hayworth condominium complex, an Old Navy spokesperson said. A grand opening ceremony featuring a DJ, ribbon cutting and kid-friendly activities will be held Saturday, Nov. 2.
"Old Navy is a brand committed to creating a quality shopping experience for the family that’s fun and accessible. We’re thrilled to offer great fashion with prices that make everyone feel welcome to New York City’s Upper East Side," an Old Navy spokesperson said in a statement.

The new East 86th Street store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to an Old Navy spokesperson.
Developers Ceruzzi Properties and Kuafu Properties are partnering to build the 18-story condominium development on the East 86th Street and Lexington Avenue site. The tower was designed by the architecture firm HOK and interiors were done by the firm SheltonMindel, according to the development's website.

The condo complex will rise 210-feet-tall and contain 61 units, according to Department of Buildings records. Average unit size in the development wil be about 2892 square feet, according to the building permits.
