Pedestrian Injured In Madison Avenue Traffic Crash: FDNY

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Madison Avenue Wednesday night, according to fire officials.

At just before 8 p.m., a driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Madison Avenue near East 63rd Street, officials said.

The injured victim was brought to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, according to a FDNY spokesperson. The victim's condition was unknown, the department said.

NYPD officials told Patch that they had no information on a crash in the neighborhood Wednesday night, hinting that the pedestrian was not seriously harmed and that the driver did not attempt to flee the scene.
