Person Struck By Car On Upper East Side, FDNY Says

The person was hit around 4:20 p.m. on East 82nd Street between First and Second avenues.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A person was hospitalized Wednesday after being struck by a car on the Upper East Side, an FDNY spokeswoman said.

The person was struck on East 82nd Street between First and Second avenues around 4:20 p.m., the FDNY spokeswoman said. The spokeswoman could not confirm the person's status or gender but did say they were likely to survive.

The injured person was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital for treatment, an FDNY spokeswoman said.
