Protestors Vandalized Upper East Side Building Before Fleeing: NYPD
A group of demonstrators allegedly threw red paint on an Upper East Side building in the early hours of Wednesday morning, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A group of protestors reportedly threw paint on an Upper East Side building on Wednesday morning amid the ongoing wave of pro-Palestine and pro-Israel demonstrations, according to police.
Police stated that a group vandalized the front entrance of a building located on 115 East 65th Street, which houses the Permanent Observer Mission of the State of Palestine to the United Nations.
The demonstrators threw buckets of red paint on the front of the building, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Following the paint-throwing attack, police said that the group fled the area and were last seen heading toward 66th Street and Park Avenue.
An update on Citizen shows that the group was reportedly traveling in a red U-Haul, but the police could not confirm that.

The group responsible has not yet been identified by police, and a motive has not been determined.
