In a recent update, police confirmed that two previous crimes on the Upper East Side were linked, attributing them to the same group of perpetrators.

On May 13, two men on a black motorcycle attempted to steal an orange motorcycle parked in front of 46 East 91st Street. When a 48-year-old employee intervened and shouted at them to stop, one of the robbers brandished a gun, threatening him before fleeing with the motorcycle valued at around $16,000, according to police.

Then, on July 8 around 3 p.m., another incident occurred outside 1010 Park Avenue, between East 85th and East 86th streets, near Park Avenue Christian Church.

A 48-year-old man was approached by six strangers on motorcycles. They brandished a gun, threatened him, and forcibly took his red Yamaha motorcycle valued at approximately $22,000 before fleeing northbound on Park Avenue, police reported.

Police have also linked the group to more incidents in recent months.

These include a theft on July 8 at 177 Fort Washington Ave., where four individuals stole a black motorcycle valued at $31,000. Additionally, on June 23, they stole a red motorcycle parked in front of 200 West 86th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam.

Authorities have described the suspects as men with a medium complexion.
