Robert De Niro's UES Townhouse Burglarized: Reports
A woman stole Christmas presents from under a tree in the actor's Upper East Side home, according to multiple reports.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A woman broke into the actor Robert De Niro's Upper East Side townhouse and began stealing his Christmas presents while he was inside the home, according to multiple reports.
The break-in happened around 2:45 a.m. Monday, on East 65th Street between Lexington and Park avenues, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed.
Police sources told ABC7 that officers watched the 30-year-old woman entering the townhouse, followed her inside, and saw her taking presents from under a Christmas tree and stuffing them into a bag.

The 79-year-old actor heard a commotion and then came downstairs, ABC7 reported.
An NYPD spokesperson could not confirm the woman's identity, since charges had not yet been filed. But ABC7 named her as Shanice Aviles, who was reportedly being followed by authorities because she was already wanted in connection with six other burglaries.

Police said she was taken into custody without incident, and that an investigation is ongoing.
