Roosevelt Island Man Goes Missing In Queens, Police Say

The 75-year-old man was last seen on Dec. 31 leaving a rehabilitation and nursing facility on Roosevelt Island.

ROOSEVELT ISLAND, NY — The NYPD is asking the public's help to locate a man who went missing from a rehabilitation and nursing facility on Roosevelt Island, police said.

Wilson Herron, 75, was last seen on the morning of Dec. 31 leaving the NYC Health + Hospitals/Coler facility on the northern end of Roosevelt Island, police said. Investigators believe that Herron is missing somewhere within the 114th NYPD precinct, which is mostly located in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens.

Herron stands 5-foot-6 and weighs about 160 pounds with a dark complexion, gray hair and brown eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, black pants, a multi-colored scarf and using a walker, police said.
