Scare The Mayor: Gracie Mansion Opens For Halloween Haunts
A two-day Halloween celebration will bring tricks, treats, costumes, a corn maze and a haunted cemetery to the grounds of the haunted home.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Gracie Mansion is haunted.
“I don’t care what anyone says, there are ghosts in there, man,” Mayor Adams said at a 2022 Yankees game.
On October 28 and 29, the Mayor is inviting New York City families to see for themselves for a two-day fright-fest at the historic residence in Carl Schurz Park.

“I am confident that when we open ‘The People’s House,’ New Yorkers will finally believe me about the ghosts floating around here,” said Adams.
Halloween at Gracie Mansion 2023, as the event is aptly named, will bring up to 1,500 guests to the ghoulish grounds for two nights of family fun.

Activities will include trick-or-treating, greeting costumed characters, and visit a corn maze and haunted cemetery.
The mayor's office said that the activities are geared towards kids between six and 10-years-old, and parents can get tickets by signing up for a free online ticket giveaway.
Additionally, the mayor's office has set aside 300 tickets for families living in city shelters and for families seeking asylum.
“Every child should be able to experience the fun of Halloween, which is why our administration is reserving special tickets to ‘Halloween at Gracie Mansion 2023’ for families in the city’s care,” said Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services, Anne Williams-Isom.
Since the first Halloween celebration in 2014, Gracie Mansion has hosted — and frightened — thousands of children looking for a safe and fun Halloween party.
