Stranger Hurls Anti-Gay Slurs At Upper East Side Woman: NYPD
The homophobic attack is being investigated by the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force, police said.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Authorities are looking for a man who reportedly shouted anti-gay slurs to a pedestrian on the Upper East Side last month.
Officers received a report of aggravated harassment on May 21 at about 9:45 p.m. in front of 1486 Second Avenue, near E. 78th Street, officials said.
Police were informed that a 73-year-old woman was standing on the sidewalk when an unidentified individual approached and began making anti-gay statements while threatening the victim.

The attacker then fled on foot southbound on Second Avenue to an unknown location, police said.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

Cops released surveillance footage of the suspect on Thursday, asking for the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
