UES iPhone Robber Injures Best Buy Employee, Police Say
The robber took two iPhones valued at approximately $2,000.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Police were looking on Tuesday for a robber who stole $2,000 worth of merchandise from an Upper East Side Best Buy and injured an employee, New York City Police Department officials said.
According to the NYPD, on Feb. 9 at 7:40 p.m. the robber entered the Best Buy located at 1280 Lexington Ave. and took two iPhone 16 Pro Maxes.
When a 34-year-old employee attempted to confront the robber and retrieve the items, he was slashed in the hand by something the robber was holding, police said.

The employee was treated by medics at the store, and the robber ran away, traveling eastbound on Third Avenue, authorities said.
