UES Nanny Arrested For Shaking Child, Reports Say
The New Jersey woman was caught on a nanny cam shaking a 15-month-old in her care and throwing the boy on a sofa.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A New Jersey woman hired to care after an Upper East Side family's infant is facing charges after she was caught shaking and throwing the child on a nanny cam, according to reports.
Armielyn Bernales, 38, was charged with attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child in Manhattan Criminal Court Thursday, court records show.
Those charges stem from nanny camera footage taken on Thursday, Jan. 17, the Daily News first reported.

The caretaker was filmed grabbing the 15-month-old boy by the head and shaking it up and down, according to the report. After shaking the boy, Bernales took him out of his stroller and shook him again before tossing him onto a sofa, the Daily News reported.
Luckily, the child was not hurt, police told the newspaper. Bernales was held on $5,000 bail after her court appearance in Manhattan, court records show.
